Empowerment for Health, Empowering Women – was the notion for the first Dhaka Women's Marathon 2016 held at the University of Dhaka and its adjacent areas. Back then, it was an initiative of Everest Academy as well. Now it’s the time for SEASON SIX and it will be another great initiative for capacitating women to ensure their rights. Now, to step ahead of the current trend, the Dhaka Women’s Marathon 2025 will also pave the way for accepting the daily challenges of life and promoting Empowerment and Respect for Women.
This is open to university students, professionals, homemakers, and entrepreneurs – all women are welcome to be a part of this celebration of strength and resilience. For many of these women, they have never been in a sport, let alone a mini or full marathon; but after attending the Dhaka Women's Marathon they become completely comfortable in a world that they have never before known. As the organizing team at Everest Academy, we are fully committed to ensuring that the Dhaka Women's Marathon is executed flawlessly, with the utmost attention to detail and professionalism.
With careful consideration and thorough planning, necessary approval has already been taken from the concerned authorities for the Dhaka Women's Marathon 2025. We believe that this will provide us with ample time to make all the necessary arrangements and deliver an exceptional experience for all participants, spectators, and sponsors alike.
We genuinely appreciate your understanding and support as we work diligently to bring the Dhaka Women's Marathon to fruition. We look forward to your participation and partnership on May 24th as we celebrate the spirit of women's empowerment and athleticism.
Thank you for your unwavering support.

As Katherine Switzer - the first women marathon runner - says: "When I go to the Boston Marathon now, I have wet shoulders—women fall into my arms crying. They're weeping for joy because running has changed their lives. They feel they can do anything." We also feel the same. The women can do anything. Katherine Switzer ran the Boston Marathon in 1967 where she was attacked by one of the event's directors who wanted to eject her from the all-male race. She fought off the director and finished the race. From the childhood events that inspired her to win the New York City Marathon in 1974, this liberally illustrated book details the struggles and achievements of a pioneering woman in sports.
We want many Katherine Switzers from Bangladesh so that they can represent the country at international forums with immense boldness, self-confidence, and self-driven power.
Mentionable, the Dhaka Women’s Marathon 2025 will be another great initiative in all aspects and capacitating the women to ensure their rights. Now, to leap ahead of the current trend, the Dhaka Women’s Marathon 2025 will also pave the way for accepting the daily challenges of life and promoting Empowerment and Respect for Women.
Dhaka Women’s Marathon is a flagship event by Everest Academy.
